2:21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
Having failed to mold any animals out of mud that met Adam's high standards for a mate, God next tried ... one of Adam's ribs. And he used general anesthesia for the surgery.
I'm sorry, I have no idea what this is about. It makes no sense to me whatsoever. Why not a big toe? Or, more rationally, why not just make another person out of mud?
Could this possibly be any more random?

It would seem that it was random. I think its because I wanted Adam to look at her as not a regular creation of "God" but a part of his flesh.
ReplyDeleteOne thing that I often wonder about, did Adamn have a odd number of ribs or did he have the regular amount. I think everyone has 24 ribs, so did Adman have 24 or 25 to begin with. And I can't believe that people out there still believe that men have one odd number of ribs than women.
I'd have to guess that taking out one of his ribs would work like taking out one of yours, and he'd end up one short.
ReplyDeleteI want to know which rib is most womanly.
